RV Connex Unveils JRV-01 and Red Kite at DronTech Asia 2024: A Leap Forward in Thai Aerospace Innovation

Bangkok, Thailand — 25 November 2024 – R V Connex Co., Ltd. (RV Connex), a pioneer in defense and security systems, proudly revealed two groundbreaking drones at DronTech Asia 2024: the JRV-01, Southeast Asia’s first jet-powered target drone, and the Red Kite, an advanced surveillance Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). These innovative systems not only showcase cutting-edge technology but also mark a historic milestone for Thailand’s aerospace industry, driven entirely by local expertise.

With years of experience in deep-tech innovation, RV Connex continues to empower both government and private sectors by advancing Thai technological capabilities in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), cybersecurity, and integrated high-tech solutions. Speaking about the company's commitment, Assoc. At the event, RV Connex proudly launched the JRV-01, the first jet-powered target drone designed and manufactured in ASEAN. Noravidhya introduced key members of the development team, including Ms. Laksana Parattanawong, Senior Aircraft Engineer, Mr. Tossapon Atcharawharanon, Senior Aerospace Engineer, and Ms. Pruttapon Maolanon, Senior Robotic Control System Engineer.

Alongside the JRV-01, RV Connex also unveiled the Red Kite, an advanced surveillance UAS designed for intelligence gathering and situational awareness. With cutting-edge sensor integration and robust autonomy, the Red Kite underscores RV Connex's commitment to pushing the boundaries of unmanned systems.

Following the grand unveiling, Mr. Piphat Thavornloha, Director of Engineering, led an exclusive tour of RV Connex’s booth, presenting the technology and systems behind these innovations. The event concluded with an engaging talk by Mr. Noravidhya Tanapura, titled "From Concept to Flight: The Journey of Thailand’s First Jet-Powered Target Drone." This session detailed the meticulous process behind the JRV-01’s development and its transformative impact on the defense sector.
